He said Salah al-Obeidi told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) announced today that “Washington is seeking a variety of ways to put pressure on officials of Baghdad in order to further extend the U.S. presence in Iraq after the expiration of the survival of its troops by the end of the year 2011,” noting that “it is contrary to the security agreement between Baghdad and Washington “.

According to Obeidi, “according to the security agreement, it is incumbent on the United States to provide intelligence and logistical support to the Iraqi army until the full withdrawal of U.S. troops from the country, but the American side has not committed yet to this item in the Convention, while preparing Iraqi forces to take over the security of the country, and do not need to U.S. forces, but Iraqi officials underestimate the potential and capabilities of the Iraqi army. ”
