Iraq pays $1.2 billion for Kuwaiti compensations; $8.9 Billion unpaid so far

BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: UN Compensations Committee handed over $1.2 billion to Kuwaiti government in part of the compensations of Iraqi invasion of 1990.

In a press statement, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq, the committee handed, till now, about $43.5 billion.

The remaining amount is about $8.9 billion, which shall be paid in future.
