NEW YORK, Nov 25 (KUNA) — UN Special Envoy for Iraq Nickolay Mladenov on Monday said further Iraq-Kuwait commitment and the improvement of the security situation in Iraq will bring about closure of the missing Kuwaiti persons and property files “as quickly as possible.

“It has been too long, already. The outstanding issues on the missing persons and property need to be closed as quickly as possible. It is very encouraging that both the Iraqi and Kuwaiti authorities are committed to work together,” Mladenov told KUNA following a Security Council meeting on the situation in Iraq, including its relation with neighbouring Kuwait. BAGHDAD, Feb.10 (AKnews)- Funding the Sahwa Councils’ members from the national budget is “legal” due to the “significant” role the Councils played in securing the country, an official said today.

BAGHDAD – Babinaoz: the U.S. military announced its intention to complete its withdrawal from Iraq by the end of this year, urged the member of the parliamentary Defense and Security to review and evaluate the security plans, and a second deputy said there were plans for a new stage after the withdrawal.

The informed source who demanded anonymity told AKnews Biden will arrive in Baghdad tomorrow evening for a one-day visit to discuss a number of common issues.

BAGHDAD – Babinaoz said a senior Iraqi official said Baghdad is considering various options on the future of the U.S. presence in Iraq, ranging from mandated missions of these forces is limited and access to the exchange of mandated functions of training Iraqi forces.

The secretary general of the Council of Ministers on the Keywords, told AFP that “the United States insists on granting immunity to their handlers, as Iraq claims not to give.”
