BAGHDAD (Iba) .. Praised the Kuwaiti ambassador to Washington, Salem Al-Sabah, the results of the talks held by Prime Minister Nasser Al-Mohammad last night with Vice President Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, U.S. Army Michael Mullen.

The Kuwaiti newspaper said that U.S. Vice-President reiterated the U.S. commitment to the security of the Gulf and America’s partners in the region.

A press release said the White House that U.S. Vice-President and Prime Minister of Kuwait in search of a range of regional issues, political and security, including the changes that take place in the region, due to the spring of the Arab, and the importance of resolving outstanding issues between Kuwait and Iraq.

BAGHDAD, Aug 3 (KUNA) — Iraqi political blocs gave the green light late Tuesday to the Iraqi government to sign a new agreement with the United States to Keep some of its troops, for military training purposes, beyond their departure date at the end of 2011.

This decision came as an outcome of a meeting held, late Tuesday, by Iraqi lawmakers and the Iraqi government to discuss the US troop’s presence in the country.

Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki on Tuesday, expressed the hope that come the leaders of political blocs during the meeting, which will be held today, the final decision on the need for Iraq to keep U.S. troops or not, calling the need for continued cooperation and coordination between the two sides, with said head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Army the U.S. government of his country’s readiness to provide support for Iraq in all fields.

Chief of Staff, U.S. to visit Iraq on the eve of the meeting of leaders of political blocs

The Chiefs of Staff, U.S., on Monday, to Iraq on the eve of the meeting of Iraqi leaders to take a position on the possibility of application of these forces to extend stay in the country until after the withdrawal date to be the end of 2011 the current. A U.S. official said in a press statement

The aircraft Chief of Staff, U.S. Admiral Michael Mullen, landed at a U.S. military base near the northern city of Mosul, “noting that” the visit Mullen comes after a two-day visit to Afghanistan, and before he left office in October next ” , without offering any details on the nature of the visit and the duration.

Baghdad (news) .. expect the Attorney / Law of the State / National Alliance Jawad Albzona be signed by Iraq and the U.S. military presence memorandum to the survival of a number of U.S. forces, pointing out: that the memo include the presence of trainers and advisers to train Iraqi forces.

Albzona and said (of the Agency news) on Saturday: “that the U.S. side’s desire to keep part of the forces without being identified.”

US VP Joseph Biden

WASHINGTON (Agencies): chaired by Vice President Joseph Biden, a meeting attended by senior U.S. officials to discuss the political, economic and security situation in Iraq.

The White House issued a statement in which he indicated that the conferees, notably Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Minister of Transport, Ray LaHood and director of the “CIA” Leon Panetta and Chief of Staff Michael Mullen, they stopped at the developments in Iraq at various levels of political, security and economic development.
