– PARIS, Oct 15 (Reuters) – The Group of 20 leading economies agreed on Saturday that advanced economies would consolidate their fiscal deficits and emerging economies like China would continue their move toward greater exchange rate flexibility.

“Advanced economies, taking into account different international circumstances, will adopt policies to build confidence and support growth and implement clear, credible, specific measures to achieve fiscal consolidation,” a draft G20 communique from a meeting of finance ministers and central bankers said.

Iraq’s Oil Reserves Even Higher?

Iraq’s proven oil reserves total around 173 billion barrels, Deputy Prime Minister Hussain al-Shahristani (pictured) said on Wednesday, according to a report from Dow Jones Newswires.

Only 143 billion barrels of these reserves have been fully audited, he said.

Another 30 billion barrels located in the Kurdish region of Iraq are considered proven but haven’t yet been fully audited, he said at the 12th International Oil Summit in Paris.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is flying to Egypt today for talks with the leaders running the country after the ouster of longtime autocratic president Hosni Mubarak.

She is expected to press them to follow through on pledges for democratic reform. She will also speak with activists of the mass protests that forced Mubarak to step down.

Iraqi Council of Representatives

Baghdad, March 8 (Rn) – The president of the Alliance center in the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Tuesday, the Council did not initiate any law except the law of the general federal budget for 2011, since the beginning of its meetings to this day.

And Ayad al-Samarrai said the Kurdish news agency (Rn) “There are more than 200 law accumulated from the previous session did not do until now”, criticizing at the same time the celebration hosted by the House of Representatives during a session today on the occasion of “International Women’s Day.”
